Senior Product Owner – Mobile App (m/w/d)

About the position

We are passionate about music and technology and are building the new digital standard for sheet music. The Enote app is “a gamechanger for musicians” (The Guardian) and revolutionizes the way millions of people study and play music every day. We are searching for an experienced senior product owner for our iOS, iPad OS & MacOS App ready to join our effort in building and further developing the most innovative sheet music app on the market. Our product provides millions of amateur and professional musicians instant and affordable access to the world’s musical heritage and makes it more interactive and contemporary than ever. Job Responsibilities

  • You work closely with the founder who drives the product vision, UX/UI designers, data analysts, and a mobile engineering team.
  • You are eager to learn and are willing to dig deep into how musicians work and interact with sheet music. Ideally, you play an instrument yourself.
  • We work according to agile methodologies, and you will be driving product development from ideation to operating a product at scale.
  • You own the product road map and align it with all stakeholders.
  • You enable proper prioritization, and a continuous, problem free flow of work in the mobile team.
  • You are working on a day-to-day basis with business and technology stakeholders on various levels of the organization, structuring a wide variety of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • You are the main responsible person for the backlog of the mobile team. You ensure, that the backlog is always in a well-groomed, clean and prioritized state.
  • Your tickets are concise and precise - not too long and not too short. You are well versed with technical terms and understand how to write also technical tickets for software developers.
  • You have a positive impact on our culture, encourage knowledge sharing and drive product discussions within the team.
  • You receive input from customer support regarding bugs and user feedback and know how to handle and prioritize both well.

What we expect from you

  • You have several years of proven and successful track record as a product owner in mobile development. You can show the results of your previous work.
  • You understand agile development and development principles very well and have worked in this context several years already.
  • You have deep understanding of mobile apps, especially iOS.
  • You understand iOS, iPadOS and macOS design principles well and can lead conversations with UI/UX Designers in a competent way.
  • You are capable to have basic technical conversations with the development team.
  • You are meticulous about data and up-to-date with product development, leading a development team, passionate about user satisfaction, operational health, and commercial success.
  • You are a strong communicator and capable to communicate complex topics and priorities concisely and effectively in product, business, and engineering contexts.
  • As a Product Owner you are a true senior, you’re self-sufficient and well organized, and don`t need any form of micromanagement. You have done the job before; you know the processes and pitfalls. You have been there.
  • You are passionate about mobile apps and music.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
